This phrase captures an accurate, broad , and a bit scary, sense of the near future, that many of us exhibit. Is it fundamentally new? Totally different?? I don’t believe I’ve ever experienced it so widely…so deep. I do believe it’s new . And deep. Way beyond Cape Cod. Well beyond Massachuseyys
I’ve been randomly, adding to, or updating, my website, for several years. Am actually trying to find the very first saved record of that focus. Want to review…..to improve it entirely just now. Partially for my own sake….but thinking of public access……would welcome, eagerly, any suggestions/ideas that come to your mind. Send, email phone them in, anytime, please
Clients ..network members are asking….What’s everyone doing?….What’s best in you mind?… Should we have a policy?…or “rules?…….Common sense seems just fine to many executives ,but often allows for a broad range of responses in the full staff!….?!!
Likely some guidelines, plus certain acknowledged communication frameworks are needed in general. Likely a bit different in separate professions , or accepted cultures……..YES……likely common sense would seem best as organizations face these coming months of unexpected, perhaps extensive change….!!!!
I’m hearing more talk, from my long standing clients, about requests/inquiries, from their own broad set of internal clients,……… of what “certifications” are available…. or @ least “almost”………. Perhaps in the recent past, the questions were more like “who’s available?….who can I use?”…….. now with the perspective of “credentials” added.
Will that become more normal…. even an expectation???
What preparation is needed if so………
What kind of “Certification or Credentials” …… Project Management? Risk? System Security?, etc. There are actually many.
Exploration is required by most organizations…………..NOW….before expectations get developed !!!
I used to think anyone who was 6o years old , or more, was out of touch. So now I’m clearly well past that spot of my own ageing…and much more accepting of past limitations that I projected on others….BUT it took me most of this year to accept the current feeling that I’m just not the man I used to fantasize I was……Good!!!! We just celebrated our 35th Anniversary………on to many more birthdays and celebrations for both Barbara and I And hopefully for you too!!!
Barbara and I went out to dinner…a bit late [4/26/87] but special to us. and unusual to do these days.
Some people didn’t think we’d make it that long……..
Was nice. Our love is still very “fresh”. We’re a very lucky couple. Looking forward to our 40th, and more…!
Forever!
This phrase captures a broad, deep sense of the near future that many of us exhibit. It’s extensive in my network. Physical. Mental. And Spiritually
Which do we feel……. or more importantly, ACT??? It seems to me, there is too little, by far, of HOPE in my network of contacts. I’ve always chosen to be optimistic, and with several plans, already 80% “Cooked”…ready for action/belief. So it’s both. Shifting intelligently. Without losing our total perspective on life. Perhaps takes considerable awareness and discipline…..even daily?!?!?!?
2/3’s through January, with snow happening, likely to stay for awhile…..but the days are longer with light even if only a bit….so Springtime looms……”feels”…….much closer. Very much to my liking. Patience [ never a strong suit of mine] is required. It will surely arrive, if I’m ready
This phrase captures a general sense, that many people in my network now have, about the near future…..CD-19….more reflection, personally going on for individuals…..within groups re-enforcing each other…Will it really be a new mentality….totally different…. Well,…..new…and….. different… but not unlike the “Uncertaincy” always there in the future. Physical. Mental . AND, surely now ,spiritually…….. all integrated…. which few of us get well done.
We shall see. I believe we will likely be required to be more mature…..more “Grown Up”. Hmmmm ….. I thought I was already there!! And @ my age, it is, now, a vey big change. Far beyond Cape Cod. Well beyond Massachusetts. And the U.S.A. The whole World!! Welcome to the future as it unfolds….
A fabulous October , creeping well into November, validates my long standing personal belief that Fall is the best , usually, of the 4 seasons for me! Old Chicago memories smack of “Winter”, sooner. This is nicer. Wherever you are, I hope the same for you. Lots of leaves left, ready to fall, but full of color. No need to travel elsewhere. “Daylight Savings” soon will darken the late afternoons , somewhat, surely as we approach Thanksgiving, but wonderful to have these pleasant set of days here, to catch up…enjoying fully, ourselves, our home, and the entire Cape.
Special……..
Wow……. Like the old saying goes…”time flies…” Well hopefully, it’ll be a mild winter. Most have been since we moved here….now almost 18 years ago. Interestingly, we have a trip scheduled to Chicago, in January?!?!?! Hopefully a fun one….to a grandson’s wedding. Will report here on the event
